Data Innovations provides a package to upgrade your data modeling environment to the current release of the software. The following sections identify the components of the package:
Requirements:
The upgrade package will require the following:
- A minimum purchase of ten CA ERwin® Data Modeler (ERwin) Upgrade licenses.
- A minimum purchase of ten CA ERwin® Model Manager (Model Manager) Upgrade licenses.
- A minimum of 80 hours of consulting services.
These requirements allow Data Innovations to provide discounts for both software licenses and professional services.
Product Upgrade:
The ERwin and Model Manager software will need the upgrade installed. The following bullets identify the components of this service:
- A custom upgrade plan for ERwin and Model Manager is created.
- A step-by-step process for performing the Model Manager upgrade is created.
- Upgrade the Model Manager software.
- Install the new license file.
- Establish the Model Manager environment:
- Review the security groups.
- Review the libraries.
- Review the security for each library.
- Review user access for the RDBMS and Model Manager.
- Validate connectivity to the ERwin client.
- Validate administration procedures.
- Test upgrade for ERwin and Model Manager.
- Create deployment plan for ERwin.
- Deploy ERwin upgrade to user base.
- Work with users to convert models to current version.
